"An intensely imagined comedy-drama.... the rare kind of play that makes you laugh a lot and sends you out thinking.... Brought to life by two superb actors.” — Jon Sobel (BlogCritics)
"Performances that are both precise and deeply human…visually striking… an unsettling mirror of the lives we live now.” — Malini Singh McDonald, Theater Beyond Broadway
“The Bliss Option presents itself as something sweet, and in some sense, it is. It is also chilling... It will, and should, stay with you.”
— Roberta Pikser, Theater Wire
“Extremely clever… well written and executed.”
— Alix Cohen, Theater Pizzazz
What if you're faced with possibly the last choice you'll ever make?
And that choice is a machine that will keep you happy for the rest of your life?
Dave has hit bottom. Jobless and alone, he's in a mandatory meeting with Stoddard, a government employee who's skilled at getting people to sign "The Bliss Option." Multitudes - the poor, the ill, the unemployed - have entered The Bliss. But Dave resists. Will Stoddard persuade him to sign? Will he persuade her that she's selling suicide? Or will something else happen in this room?
(The show runs about 75 minutes without intermission.)
